As we continue to expand across New Zealand, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive growth, build strong client relationships, and contribute to our next phase of success.

About the Role:

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a critical role in identifying new business opportunities, building partnerships with employers, and promoting Rivero Recruitment’s services. You’ll be responsible for driving lead generation, securing job orders, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional recruitment solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

​

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to expand Rivero Recruitment’s client base across Auckland and beyond.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and market research.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to secure repeat business and referrals.

  • Meet with clients to understand their recruitment needs and present tailored solutions.

  • Negotiate service agreements, rates, and terms in line with company policies.

  • Collaborate closely with the recruitment team to ensure client expectations are met and exceeded.

  • Track, report, and analyse business development performance and activities.

  • Represent Rivero Recruitment at networking events, industry functions, and meetings.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and market intelligence to inform sales strategies.


Skills and Experience Required:

​

  • Proven experience in a sales, account management, or business development role (recruitment industry experience highly desirable).

  • Strong ability to build relationships, influence decision-makers, and close deals.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and target-driven.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

  •  Full, clean NZ Driver’s License (travel within Auckland required).

  • Knowledge of warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, or hospitality industries is a plus.
